The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) commissioned Wonder Media to produce national public service announcements to promote the Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive.
More than 13 million children in the United States live in "food insecure" homes. That phrase may sound mild, but it means that those families don't regularly have enough food to eat.
Wonder Media created an episode to dramatize what it feels like for a child to walk into a kitchen with no food. This powerful story, featuring the popular WondeGrove animated characters, was shared with the NALC and inspired them to commission Wonder Media to adapt the story for their national campaign.
Every year on the second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect food from their postal customers for the largest one-day food drive in the nation. The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has received two Presidential Certificates of Achievement.
