The Institute for Habits of Mind, founded by Drs. Art Costa and Bena Kallick, partnered with Wonder Media to model the 16 Habits of Mind through easy-to-understand animated lessons and printable extension lessons for grades K-3 and 4-6.
Research shows that young children form strong emotional relationships with animated characters and using characters to model behavior improves children’s learning of challenging concepts.
“Art Costa and I introduced the 16 Habits of Mind more than 28 years ago. When we met the Wonder Media team, we were immediately struck by their passion for bringing the 16 Habits of Mind to life through animation,” stated Bena Kallick, Co-Director, Institute for Habits of Mind.
“Animation knows no borders, and children worldwide will quickly fall in love with the lifelike animated characters who will make it fun to learn and practice the 16 Habits of Mind,” stated Arthur L. Costa, Co-Director, Institute for Habits of Mind.
